Most clogged drains can be cleaned out using a drain auger; it’s a long snake like tool that rotates as it moves through the drain.
We use high pressure water hoses to knock out and clean all parts of the drain as well as long hoses. Debris can be unclogged much of the time, however if the debris is bad, it may build up again faster so using a high pressure water hose is most helpful.
If more than one drain is flowing slower, it could mean a bigger main line is clogged or if you hear gurgling noises or have water backing up intomore than one drain. Sometimes you can even smell sewage water, this may also be a main line clog.
It really depends on the type of water heater you are getting installed; you’d have to call to ask. It could be a simple install job for $50 or it could be a more complex job that costs upwards of $1,100.
Turn on the faucet that is closest to where the water enters your home, then turn on the hot water at every faucet.
Include tubs and showers, and let the hot water run for at least 10 minutes for a typical 40-gallon hot water tank, and usually 15 minutes for a 55-gallon hot water tank.
Actually, leaving a water heater on all the time will NOT consume more energy: the truth is that even turning it off and leaving a semi-hot water tank cooling down is a waste of energy.
